a butterfly,
a princess crown,
or an initial.
Shiny butterflies adorned the invitations for the party held in the afternoon. We folded the wings before gluing to help them get their flight on.Princess attire was the only appropriate form of dress for the occasion. The party started with plenteous carousel rides.
Then we had a royal feast of butterfly-shaped pb&js, and fanciful crudités cut out with cookie cutters.
More carousel riding ensued, followed by butterfly birthday cake (100% whole grain, and DELICIOUS!)

Ohhh! That was sooooo much fun! It all looks so sparkly and wonderful. Thanks for including N & M!
Also, wondering what is the advantage of kamut flour?
What a lovely party? I didn't do a party for Lily this year, but if I had, it sure wouldn't have looked like that. I can't believe you went to all that work. You're amazing. Where is the carousel?
Thanks for the clarification on Kamut.
Now that the carousel is in your backyard will you charge neighbors, friends & family admission? ;)
Mavis' skirt is super cute too! Just noticed the cake has similar ruffles. Hmmm, which came first the skirt or the cake? A new riddle for 4 year old girls.
What a fun party! You are so creative!!!
