Cruising main and Stairstepping for babes

I'm in for trouble now! My baby is growing up so quickly. Jack is crawling all over the place, and climbing the stairs too! He started a few days ago with just a few real crawls. Yesterday he did several more crawls in a continuous sequence. And today he was off, clipping along at cruising speed, in search and destroy mode. His target is usually a piece of paper or a magazine that has inadvertantly fallen to the floor. And the stairs, I can't believe he's mastered the stairs. I thought I had at least a few more weeks!

Self Decoration

I keep threatening to take away markers, pens, writing utensils of all kinds (and, in fact, have thrown some away so the threat doesn't remain completely empty), but I can't stop this girl from writing on anything, and everything, especially when I'm not looking. It's also hard to get her to wash the food off of her face, as is evidenced by the orange cheeks and chin shown here.
