I love the family photo taken at the reunion. And how about those shirts? (I designed them :) ) Each of the ten siblings from Don's family had a different color shirt for all of of their kids and grandkids.
We rented condos (and some people camped) at Solitude Resort. Each day we went on big group hikes with all the rellies. Josh and I did most of the food (two dinners and two lunches... and helped with the third dinner). We had slideshows of the current Blackwelder Clan, as well as slideshows of the older generation. We had a campfire each night, sang songs, roasted marshmallows, played games like corn hole and hatchet throwing. During the afternoons lots of the group spent time at the Solitude pool swimming and chatting. We stayed up late, late every night visiting at each other's condos and playing games like monopoly. We had a great talent show one night. We had people fill out story sheets that had lots of prompt questions to get a bit of family history work done. All the sheets that people wrote stories on went into a black binder filled with plastic sleeves. Wow, we really did a lot of stuff and it was so fun. We only wish it could have lasted longer so we could get spend even more time talking and building relationships. The group is all of Josh's dad's siblings (Don Blackwelder and siblings) and all of their kids and grandkids. Not everyone was there, of course, but even so we had well over 115 people there at all times (I never did make an exact count).
